    1. As you can see from looking to the right of the comment box just below, it is easy to share content from the WPMU CODA theme by using the built-in social network bookmarking tools…

    2. Any news on this theme? Where can it be obtained?

    3. Thanks for the comment max - nice teaser page you have there, very smooth indeed…

Are you specifically referring to the WPMU Portlet theme…? If so, it might be best to check-out our roadmaps at:

    4. I’ll keep an eye on the roadmaps.

I’m really interested in the gMaps Theme.
When do you think the frontpage will be able to support unlimited markers?

How are the coordinates input? Custom Fields?

      Thanks.

    5. Dustin

Thanks for replying back, we have sent you an email as well with a few additional notes and links…

The front-page may end-up never supporting UNLIMITED numbers of markers, but that would be due to the restrictions of RSS and the way Wordpress publishes and catalogs posts, rather than gMaps itself…

With that said, we are planning to drastically increase the number of markers available for deployment in the next version, and in truth, even now, if you want to use standard GeoRSS driven pages, you can in theory have as many markers as you want, but in order to customise the content of each HTML window and integrate custom fields from within Wordpress, we need to use a customised way to re-publish the content, rather than use a standard GeoRSS fed system, which is where the limitation now in play comes from…

In regards to how the coordinates are input, we have this fancy system called the Geo-Locator, which you can (kind of) see in action at:

      http://klews.net/kuala-lumpur-directories/

You simply type the address of the location and the marker finds itself, from which point, you can just drag and drop it and the coordinates of where that marker are are provided in a box below.

This can be seen in all its glory by singing up for a free blog here at WPMU Premium, picking the gMaps theme as your theme of choice and then going to the WPMU gMaps Options page under appearance…

So yes, it does use custom fields, but there is a useful tool to help you find the coordinates you are looking for…

Send us an email if you have any further questions…
