The WPMU Plugin Commander from FireStats is a plugin management plugin for WPMU, released under GPL.

It allow you mark any plugin in the plugins directory to be automatically activated for new blogs, perform mass activation or deactivation to plugins for all existing blogs, choose which plugins users can activate and deactivate and even activate and deactivate plugins for specific blogs, even if the blog owner is not allowed to control those plugins.

The WPMU Video Solution Framework contains a full video solution framework, including transcoder and administration interface utilities, written in PHP. The code was developed by Automattic Inc, and powers wordpress.com video solutions.

This is perhaps the most important plug-in for Wordpress MU and are surprised it is not already part of the core functionality of Wordpress MU. Perhaps they are waiting for Buddypress to save the day…?

Either way, this is a must have plug-in.
