Just FYI, it doesn’t seem to work in WP 2.5. IE keeps crashing and FireFox just keeps spinning.

this is long, not well working and not relative,
the position: relative; margin: auto; solves all your problems

Thanks for the positive feedback about the widget…

As for our new site, the head chefs are working hard on several commercial projects at the moment, so have not had the time to concentrate on our own needs, but hope to have it live by the end of the year…

We were under the impression that percentages in HEIGHT did not work in Internet Explorer, which is where all the trouble started….?

Try my simple solution on Centering Div:

Horizontal Centering:

#container{ margin-left:25%;margin-right:25%; }

Vertical Centering:

#container{ margin-top:25%;margin-bottom:25%:}

Tested and Works on IE, Firefox, and Safari
