If you’re looking to add any sort of recurring payment based membership to BuddyPress, Membership is the one you’re looking for. Now, I say this with one caveat: you have to be wiling to use PayPal for payments. For years they’ve been promising support for Auth.net ARB and haven’t delivered. In fact, that’s one of my biggest complaints about the Membership plugin is that, while they continue to refine the plugin slightly over time, they haven’t really added anything to it. Seems like they could really be blowing the rest of these plugins out of the water if they would just make more payment gateways available for it.
